Why Insurance Companies Respect Us

We've handled over 1,000 personal injury cases. Insurance companies know our reputation. In one case, their lowball tactic blew up in their faces. They lowballed; we demanded a jury trial. A few days before the trial, they settled for $2.3 million. Your results could vary: our legal strategy does not.

  • Every case is planned for a jury trial from day one.
  • We don't fear a trial. Insurance companies do.

Do NOT talk to an Insurance Adjuster

That angelic-sounding voice on the phone is there to trick you into destroying your case. We see it happen to new clients every week. That's an Adjuster's job.

When they call, tell them: "I do not consent to being recorded." Then tell them you have an attorney, politely wish them a good day, hang up, then call us. Do not answer any questions.

Do not discuss:

  • The details of the accident
  • Your injuries or medical treatment
  • Whether you've had prior accidents or injuries
  • Any recorded statement, even a "quick" one

Do not post comments about the accident or anything that could damage your claim on social media.

Quick Answers

How long do I have to file a claim in California? +
That depends heavily on the type of injury and who is responsible. While most personal injury claims must be filed within 2 years of the date of injury, the timeline shrinks drastically if a government agency or employee is involved. For some claims you have just 6 months and have to file a special administrative procedure before you can even file a lawsuit. Missing a deadline can end your case before it starts. Nothing is more important than filing a case on time.
Do I really need a lawyer for my accident? +

Nationally, about 53-57 cents of every dollar reaches the injured person ... the rest goes to pay insurance company lawyers and litigation expenses. The insurance company would never show up without an attorney. Why would you?

Who will actually handle my case? +
Brad Hayes personally directs the strategy, investigation, and execution of every single case our firm takes. While our dedicated legal staff assists with administrative paperwork to move your file faster, you will always have direct access to the veteran attorney you hired.
What is my role during the legal process? +

Your only job is to focus on your medical treatment, follow your doctor's orders, and recover. We take care of everything else. Our firm steps in immediately to handle the aggressive insurance adjusters, gather your medical records, interview witnesses, and manage the legal heavy lifting so you can get your life back.

What happens if we lose my case? +
You owe us absolutely nothing. We advance 100% of the upfront costs for filing fees, medical record retrieval, and investigators. If we do not secure a settlement or a jury verdict for you, you do not owe us a single penny for our time or the case expenses. We take all the financial risk.

Don't wait. Evidence disappears quickly. Witnesses forget details. Insurance companies start building their case the moment they're notified. California law limits your time to file. Time is your enemy: make it an asset.
